A world class Engineering Consultancy involved in operations globally is seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join its team in Vietnam to provide guidance, set-up, monitor, check and perform design of offshore structures.
Duties:

1. Monitor and ensuring good quality design outputs, as per the relevant Client Specifications, Industrial Codes and Standards and design procedures as per PCP.
2. Assist Lead Engineer to prepare on and monitoring deliverable list and to set design parameters
3. Provide design guidelines, assistance and problem solver to offshore structural engineers during design stage.
4. Provide design checking for both reports and drawings and ensure all QAM procedure is accordingly performed
5. Provide man-hour and material cost estimating for proposals.
6. Develop other personnel's skill by providing on the job training and appraising their performance.
7. Provide advice and check works in his fields or expertise when required.
8. Assist Lead engineer to set standards of excellence. Establish criteria and/ or work procedures to achieve a high level quality, productivity or service.
9. Dedicate required time and energy to assignments or tasks to ensure that no aspect of the work is neglected, work to overcome obstacles to completing tasks or assignments.
10. Able to check drawings, MTO, WCR and 3D BOCAD model

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master in Civil/ Structural Engineering.
Extenhsive experience in offshore design experience
Familiar with AISC, API, ASTM, DnV, ISO, CAP 437, ND and AWS D1.1
Master with SACS, Spreadsheet Excel, Word and Adobe Reader
Conversant with USFOS
Experience with installation of heavy platforms such as floatover; dynamic structural analysis subject to rotary equipment, dropped object analysis.
Familiar with Finite Element Analysis (FEMAP, ANSYS and ABAQUS).
Good English proficiency including English Report writing skill
Able to use ACAD software
