Job purpose:

• PVE is looking for 02 Piping Designer to be in charge of all technical activities related to the design of piping.

Profile:
Position report to: Piping department manager, lead piping designer
Essential Skills/Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years experience working within a 3D environment using PDMS, Smart Plant 3D.
• Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining, Petrochemical Industry or Offshore Engineering Practices.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative with the minimum of supervision
• Possess good verbal and written English communication skills
• Able to work methodically and efficiently
• Creative, innovative and self-motivated
• Diploma of engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Learn and handles with all applicable job specs, piping classes, standards and working instructions that may be needed for the correct development of his assigned work.
• Define locally equipment and installation arrangement to full required detail.
• Develop piping studies.
• Develop 3D model for equipment and piping
• Pipe support design using 3D design package such as PDMS (MDS) or Smart Plant 3D.
• Extract and verifies isometric drawings.
• Develop general arrangement drawings.
• Comment vendor drawings for assigned equipment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for relevant design interfaces.
• Mark-up master documents, gets informed of changes and modifications, follows-up comments from other departments on assigned area and assures inclusion of required design changes.
• Production of material take-offs (MTO) either manually or reporting from model data base.
• Develop piping studies and support definition in assigned area.
• Travel to field as necessary, to make field sketches, take dimensions, and notes for drawing accuracy
• Perform incorporation of Stress Calculation Notes into his Piping Design.
• Responsible to fill correctly in all the model attributes.
• Prepare adequate operation and maintenance space such as ladders, stairs and service platforms etc. for valves, flanges, joints and instruments.
• Perform study, identify and propose pipe support locations, span. Then, prepare pipe support attachments for issuance to Stress team.

Salary: 750-1500 USD, it depends on candidate’s experience and qualification.
