Job Discription

To function as marine warranty surveyor (MWS) providing independent third-party review and approval of high value and/or high risk marine construction and transportation projects, from the planning to the execution stages.

This can include the load-out, transportation and installation of offshore oil and gas facilities, the decommissioning and removal of offshore structures, alternative energy (such as offshore wind farms), ports and harbours and general maritime transportation.

You will also undertake an extensive range of surveys, inspections and audits. While instructions are often for work on a specific vessel or facility, you may also work with multiple vessels and even entire fleets.

Job requirements:

a) Bachelor in Naval Architecture / Offshore Enginnering / Structural Engineering / Pipeline Engineering / Subsea Engineering
b) At least 5 years experience in a design and analysis capacity in a design office and at least 2 years of field experience.
c) Willing to work offshore & travel at short notices
d) Knowledge in working with stability & naval architectural, structural and pipeline engineering software is essential
e) Applicants with experience in project management will be an advantage
f) Computer knowledge in MS office (Excel, Word), E-mail and Internet
g) Good interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written English
h) Attention to details and accuracy in work
i) A good attitude, responsible and ability to work independently as well as in team
j) Detail-oriented and self-motivated with problem solving skills
k) Be able to work under pressure to meet the deadline efficiently
