PV SHIPYARD BEING AWARDED RIG REPAIR WORK BY SEADRILL FOR THE WEST ARIEL JACK UP RIG​

After dedicating to complete repair contracts ahead of schedule for West Vigilant and West Telesto drilling rigs of Seadrill Management Company (S) Pte. Ltd. (Seadrill), PV Shipyard continues gaining another contract in which providing scope of repair hull and yard’s services for Seadrill.

The unit is the A KFELS ‘B’ Class design, 400 fsw rated, 15k BOP jack-up was towed to PV Shipyard’s jetty on 01 Apr 2014. It has been put into operation in 2008 with outstanding features such as off-line pipe handling, stand building, enhanced mud systems as well as improved deck layouts, greater capacities and upgraded safety equipment compared to previous jack-up generations. West Ariel jack-up rig was operating at Field BK-1 Platform Standoff location, White Tiger Field, Offshore Vietnam for Vietsovpetro JV before moved to PV Shipyard. The work is scheduled to begin from its coming time to 17 Apr 2014.

PV Shipyard has fabrication facilities offer an ideal location to accommodate rigs with its jetty expansive quay length 156 meters, quay width 30 meters, water depth 14 meters including its world-class facilities yard at Sao Mai Ben Dinh – a location is easily accessible by road or sea.
