How to decide the member sizes of jacket and tópide

Dear Members,
I want to know how sizes of member is calculated or decided during FEED or any other phase of engineering, i have not got any opportunity to do work on FEED of topside, jacket etc.
I have only worked on detailed engineering of flare tower, topside, and fpso modules, i want to know how sizes of fpso, jacket, topside members are calculated or decided. Please tell me.

Hi bro,
IF your company has a job about FEED or Concept, you'll know how to design member sizes of FPSO, Topside or Jacket. But in my opinion, all structure shall be followed the rules which are satisfied. If you want to know it, please find some training courses or read a lot of standard. Maybe you don't understand, but it may be your future. I think we'll discuss about it if you know a bit, bacause it takes a long time and pay yourself.

In my experiences,
The Member size of Jacket and topside depend on input data like: metocean, soil, layout Equipment, function of whp....
Better you refer to previous project which similar and select temporary the member size and then optimize after analysis
